 “Beijing Study Tour”Summer Camp

I.Class Time
 1st Term: Jun. 25-Jul.8th, 2015(Deadline for sign-up: May 29, 2015)
 2nd Term: Jul. 16-Jul. 29, 2015(Deadline for sign-up: Jun. 19, 2015)
 II.Prospects: Students over 17 years old can apply. Each class needs to have at least 15 students. If not, they can be transferred to other Chinese Classes.
 Students over 14 years old can register by group. Each class needs to have at least 15 students.
 III. Highlights
 Learners’ mother tongues are to be used as classroom language. Your Chinese teachers and teaching assistants will lead you into a moving classroom, and you can learn Chinese language, Chinese culture and cultural experience at the same time in an immersive and enjoyable environment where you can have your standard Chinese lessons and build your confidence in speaking Chinese. In carefully designed moving classrooms, you will have chance to see the liberal and architectural art treasures of China with a civilization of 5000 years and get to know about Chinese history, humanistic spirit, and contemporary Chinese social life. You will also have the opportunities of tasting Chinese special cuisine, and you can know more about the profound and rich Chinese food culture.

IV. Course design and teaching hours:
 1.Chinese Language: 9 teaching hours per week. Chinese language courses will teach: everyday Chinese expressions, basic skills to master survival Chinese, and ways to greet, to shop and to order in Chinese.
 2.Cultural Experience: 6 teaching hours per week. Cultural experience courses include: traditional Chinese tea art, calligraphy, painting, facial makeup, paper cutting, Gongfu, etc.
 3.Sightseeing Tours: 7 times. The sightseeing tours include the visits of such classic spots as: the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street, Tian’anmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Capital Museum, the Summer Palace, the Bird's Nest (National Stadium), the Water Cube (National Aquatics Center), Hutong, Siheyuan and 798 Art District, etc.
 4.Special Cuisines: 7 times. They include Beijing roast duck, the old Beijing instant-boiled mutton, Beijing snacks, old Beijing noodles and Sichuan, Shandong, Guangdong and other specials.

V.Fee Summary: ¥7,700 Yuan per capita
 Fees will cover: courses, entry to tourist sites, transportation to and from tourist sites, special cuisines, apartment of double-room on campus..
