Located at 39.56 degrees north latitude and 116.2 degrees east longitude, Beijing lies on the north end of the North China Plain. Beijing borders the city of Tianjin and Hebei Province.
Landform Beijing is surrounded by mountains to its west, north and northeast. It stands on the North China Plain that slopes gradually to the Bo Hai (Bo Sea).
