4. Aim and Scale:
This program aims to train students with solid, comprehensive and systematic basic skills of calligraphy and basic knowledge of Chinese calligraphy theory, and to master various forms of expression and expression language of Chinese calligraphy, and to have the ability to create independently. It will help students master the basic theoretical knowledge and basic techniques of seal carving and Chinese painting, to have a broad international cultural perspective, have a strong overall quality, and to practice traditional culture and calligraphy art. Students will also be able to adapt to the needs of the 21st century society and become complex talents who can teach Chinese calligraphy overseas, spread Chinese culture and communicate with Chinese and foreign artists.
5.Program Structure:
(1)Total credits for graduation: 146 credits;Among them, 30 credits are compulsory public courses, 12 credits are general courses, 24 credits are compulsory foreign language courses; 74 are professional compulsory courses; 6 credits are professional elective courses, 24 credits are professional practice.
(2) Total class hours: 2415 class hours;
(3) Total weeks of teaching: 127 weeks;
(4) Graduation work: 2 credits;9 weeks;
(5) Graduation Thesis：9 weeks, 2 credits;
(6) Graduation work and thesis schedule: from the end of semester 7 to the end of May of semester 8.
6. Requirements for graduation:
Students who have been formally admitted to the universityand have obtained corresponding credits, completed professional practice, and on schedule to attend the graduation thesis or other form of graduation works, tested and approved by the department on comprehensive appraisal to the students in our school graduation requirements, are allowed to graduate.
