Freshman and sophomore are required to study in the main campus;
Junior and senior are required to study in BLCU Tokyo campus.

V. Teaching Objects
International students whose Chinese proficiency has reached Level 4 or above of the “International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards” (HSK).
VI. Cultivation Objectives and Specifications
(I) Cultivation Objectives
This major is aimed at cultivating students with solid Chinese and Japanese language foundation and good humanistic accomplishment, extensive Chinese and Japanese culture and social knowledge, excellent international vision and cross-cultural accomplishment, strong Chinese and Japanese expression ability and Chinese and foreign language and cultural contrast ability, strong language research ability, translation ability, cross-cultural communication ability, interdisciplinary knowledge accomplishment, full of problem awareness, thinking and innovation ability, and can be engaged in education, secretary, translation, trade and cultural exchange that need to use Chinese and Japanese after graduation.
(II) Cultivation Specification
Master systematic basic theories and knowledge of Chinese, and have solid Chinese language ability and verbal communication ability; Master basic Chinese humanities knowledge, familiar with China's national conditions and social culture; Have solid Japanese language ability and verbal communication ability, understand Japan's national conditions and culture; After graduation, students can work in the fields of diplomacy, business, secretarial and so on that need to use Chinese and Japanese.
VII. Basic Framework of Cultivation Program
Freshman and sophomore are required to study in the main campus with 76 credits or more; Junior and senior are required to study in Tokyo campus with 98 credits or more. 2 credits for employment guidance and 8 credits for graduation thesis.

X. Graduation Requirements
All students who have formally registered, have completed the courses specified in the teaching plan, obtained above qualified scores, obtained the required course credits for graduation, observed the school discipline, and qualified in all aspects of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic performance, are approved to graduate after the examination and appraisal of the teaching committee of the university and the academic degree committee of the university.
XI. Certificate and Degree Award
If meet the requirements for graduation, students will be awarded the graduation certificate of Chinese Language and Literature, and the Bachelor's Degree Certificate after students pass the thesis defense. If meet the requirements for graduation and degree award, students can obtain the diploma and degree certificate of minor major.

Note:
The students of the main campus will start Japanese courses at their Freshman, and are expected to reach the Japanese N4 level after two years, and at least the Japanese N5 level will be required for Japanese visa application.
Comprehensive Japanese courses are flexible taught in Tokyo campus, and can be adjusted based on students' current Japanese level.
Freshman and sophomore are required to study in the main campus with 76 credits or more;
Junior and senior are required to study in Tokyo campus with 98 credits or more.
