To meet the strategic requirements of “Belt and Road Initiative” and the development of “community with a shared future for mankind”, and to satisfy the urgent demand of high-quality talents with experiences in international business practices in the new era, Beijing Language and Culture University (School Code: 10032) will start to recruit international students for the Program of MSc in International Business (MIB) (Major Code: 0254) from 2023.
Training objectives: This program aims to cultivate students who can adapt to the new requirements of globalization, get familiar with the complex environment of international business, serve the needs of national economic and social development, obtain a complete international business knowledge system, familiarize themselves with international business laws and usual practices, and build up strong international business practice capabilities and cross-cultural business communication skills, and finally turn them into international business talents who are competent for international business analysis, operation, management and decision-making in foreign-related enterprises, social institutions, and government departments.
Program features: Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), also known as the "Little United Nations", is one of the leading universities in China enjoying a great reputation for providing students with a multi-language, multi-cultural, and international environment of study. With the advantages of the above, Program of MIB builds a brand of “Study in China” by offering bilingual teaching, Sino-foreign integration, and Chinese cultural experiences. By leveraging the benefits of multi-disciplinary education system of BLCU and the locational advantage of College Road Community, the Program of MIB lays emphasis on the interdisciplinary teaching, integration of education with industry and practical teaching, strengthening collaborative education and aiming at cultivating qualified international business talents with proficient language abilities, professional knowledge, and highly specialized skills.
Cultivation directions: International Trade and Cross-Border Investment
International Trade: To meet the national development needs, by utilizing resources from both the university and society, and combining classroom teachings with professional practices, this program aims at cultivating international business talents with sufficient knowledge of international trade theory, international trade practice skills and relevant laws and usual practices, strong English communication skills, who can adapt to the once-in-a-century challenging and complicated international economic, political, and cultural environment.
Cross-border Investment: Combined with the advantages of the "Little United Nations" of BLCU, the program offers all courses in English, and provides an environment of multicultural communication and comprehensive practices, to produce qualified talents that are familiar with international business rules, fluent in English and capable of cross-cultural communication, and that can engage in transnational operations and investment management in the complex international business environment, and deal with economic frictions, cultural conflicts, and investment risks with ease.
Target of enrollment: International students with Chinese and foreign undergraduate degrees and equivalent academic qualifications from universities in the national education sequence.

Program Duration: Full-time, the basic study period is two years. Unless otherwise stipulated, the maximum length of study in school shall not exceed 4 years (including suspension and retention of student status). Those who apply for extension of study period should apply at least one semester before the original graduation date and fill in the "Application Form for Extension of Study Period for Postgraduates of Beijing Language and Culture University". Those who defer will need to pay the deferment training fee.
Awarded Degree: A master's degree of science in international business
