Intermediate Chinese: Comprehensive language skills training course; compulsory course for Intermediate Chinese which aims at improving students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. This course can expand our students’ vocabulary and develop their oral and written ability by teaching them some knowledge of Chinese language and culture and training them to put their language expression into practice.

Listening and Speaking: Listening and speaking training course; compulsory course for Intermediate Chinese which targets at improving students’ ability of understanding and utilizing Chinese communicative language. E.g. students are able to comprehend and use the communicative language which doesn’t include difficult new words and grammar points in their daily life fluently.

General Reading: Reading training course; optional course for Intermediate Chinese which plans to elevate our students’ ability of reading comprehension through the training of passage reading and getting the needed information and gist of the passage without paying attention to some normal language obstacles.

Journalistic Chinese: Reading training course; optional course for Intermediate Course which intends to cultivate students’ ability of reading Chinese newspapers and magazines by providing them with a certain number of common journalistic words and expressions, stylistic characteristics, discourse structure and some certain reading skills.

Chinese Listening Skills: Listening training course; optional course for Intermediate Chinese aiming at improving students’ listening skills.

News Listening: Listening training course; optional course for Intermediate Chinese targeting at elevating students’ ability of listening to the Chinese radio and understanding the TV news.

Listening to Chinese Live: Optional listening training course for Intermediate Chinese. This course chooses the real situational places such as shops, restaurants, buses, post offices, hospitals and streets as the listening materials in order to improve our students’ listening skills in real situations and contribute to their HSK examinations.

Audio – Visual Course: Listening and speaking training course for Intermediate Chinese. This course trains our students’ listening and speaking skills by providing them with those materials that can better reflect China’s reality, such as some common statements, dialogue clips, skits, films and television programs and ask them to use the above language to make their own expressions.

Basic Spoken Chinese in Trade and Economy: Optional oral training course for Intermediate Chinese. This course will offer our students an access to master the common statements and terminologies, improve oral skills in conversations and communication in trade and economy. It will also cover some basic knowledge in trade and economy.

Topical Conversation: Optional oral skill training course for Intermediate Chinese. The purpose of this course is to let our students have an overall understanding of Chinese oral expressions and use those expressions by choosing the hot issues in Chinese social and cultural life as well as in the development of China’s economy as the discussion topics.

Basic Chinese Composition: Optional writing training course for Intermediate Chinese. This course enables students to write Chinese articles with the right words, grammar structures and rhetorical devices.

Basic Translation: Optional translational skill training course for Intermediate Chinese. This course will let the students have a better knowledge of the structural and expressing differences between Chinese and English (Japanese, Korean), the transformed rules between two different languages so as to cultivate their abilities in translation and interpretation.

Practical Chinese Grammar Analysis: Optional course for Intermediate Chinese. In order to improve our students’ ability to use Chinese correctly, this course will make a clear analysis of those common bias to let our students know more grammar rules and vocabulary analysing methods.

Chinese Human Geography: Optional course for Intermediate Chinese. By introducing the Chinese historical and cultural attractions and scenic spots and through field visits, students will have a general understanding and deepened perception of Chinese geography, history, culture and customs.

Economic Newspaper Reading: Optional course for Intermediate Chinese. With the characteristics of economy, news and reading, this course pays a lot of attention to economic vocabularies, terminologies and development. Through the study of this course, students will have an overview and current status of the Chinese economy, as well as economic-related national policies, laws and regulations and database. it will definitely improve students' reading skills.

Chinese Culture: Optional course for Intermediate Chinese. It will introduce Chinese culture to our students, such as the nation, the Chinese characters, the four great inventions, the traditional Chinese arts, festivals, food and medicine.

Chinese Words Analysis: Optional course for Intermediate Chinese. It provides the students with the knowledge of word formation, word meaning and morpheme meaning. It helps the students to master the basic analysing method of synonyms. Through a lot of practices, students can understand the differences between them much better and use the vocabularies more accurately.

Computer Chinese Editing: Optional skill training course for Intermediate Chinese. This course will enable our students to use computer to process Chinese text (such as documents, letters, materials, etc.) independently and skillfully, and enhance their Chinese communicational skills and improve their efficiency both in study and at work.
